This collection began after a residency in the Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve in Alaska. ‘Tundra Vessel’ was created through observing the Tundra landscape and examining the tiny plants surviving under huge skies, mountains and weather. Other works followed after looking at plants in the same detail that are found in the British Isles, inspired by their mythical and visual properties. The term ‘Plant Medicine’ refers to the connection we can all feel with nature, and the healing this brings.
