About the Lichen Collection
Within this short film Abigail shares insights into the themes and creative processes behind her award winning Lichen Collection. Abigail’s artworks are inspired by the history and ecology of the Cornish landscape and her spiritual connection with sacred sites - specifically ancient standing stones and lichen, which is found growing in abundance. By observing and drawing the lichen in situ, Abigail has produced and developed elaborate lichen forms that are hand cut, hammered and enameled, using creative silversmithing techniques.
