Newsletter: Autumn Equinox Hærfest Edition Goldsmiths' Fair 2024

Dear Friends,

There has been a chill in the morning air and autumn is settling in as the year turns to the next season.  The leaves are starting to curl and fall and the geese are flying in formation over the Penryn River, where I live in Cornwall.  Autumn is traditionally a time for gathering the fruits of the land. The term harvest, derived from the Old English word hærfest, once referred to both the autumn season and the activity of gathering and storing crops, so it is a good time for counting our blessings and what we have achieved in the year so far.
