New Year 2019

New Year at the Nine Maidens, Penwith . Image by Syd Buron

I find my workshop practice so inspiring and time consuming, and almost all encompassing, that it’s difficult sometimes to remember to take a breath. My relationship with the land is fundamental to my artistic practice, it’s where all my ideas are sparked and ignite and in the workshop, while working with silver, is where these seeds germinate into Art.

So it was a good start to the year to wild camp up on the moor near the Nine Maidens stone circle. To connect with the Ancestors and think about the hands that placed these stones here so long ago.

New Year’s resolution…..spend more time walking the land!
